In his previous life, Kevin Luo received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from UCLA and had worked as an engineer for almost 10 years. While volunteering with the Tzu Chi Foundation in northern California, he discovered his passion for Chinese medicine and decided to end his engineering career to pursue a different career path.

Kevin Luo then received his training in traditional Chinese medicine at the prestigious American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in the beautiful San Francisco, CA. While in the vigorous program at ACTCM, he also studied classical Chinese medical texts with Dr. Aide Men, a renowned practitioner in the bay area. Since relocating to Austin, TX, Kevin kept on learning new techniques to strive to provide the best treatments for his patients.

Kevin has been a licensed acupuncturist in Texas (AC00961) and also a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) since 2006. He had previously worked for the People’s Medical Publishing House in Beijing as a translator and editor of Chinese medicine texts. PepsiCo had also hired him as a Chinese medicine consultant to explore future beverage products using Chinese herbs.
